Going to a boat show? Here's what to expect...

Something for Everyone, From Boat Enthusiast to Average Joe

Have you ever been to a boat show?  If not, you may have no clue what to expect.  Maybe you have no intention of buying a boat, so you think why should I go?  Boat Shows are not only held to buy and sell boats, but to educate those attending on everything dealing with boats and the outdoors.  We have put together this list of things you may find at your local boat show.

Sailboats to Luxury Yachts.

Not only will you find the newest, largest yacht on the market, you can find the perfect size boat for you. Boat Shows are a place for dealers to show off what they have and advertise special deals just for the boat show goers.  In fact, about 55 percent of boat buyers attended a boat show within six months prior to making their purchase. By attending, you can have a first look at the newest products launched for 2014 and have an edge over that neighbor that is always trying to one up you with his outdoor gear!

Used to Brand Spanking New.

If you are looking for the latest and greatest model, you can find it here.  But if a less expensive, maybe even used boat fits your style, they should have that too.  Although boat shows offer the best of the best, dealers want to appeal to all of their customers.  So if a brand new cruiser doesn't fit your budget, enjoy the view and then stroll on over to the less expensive section.  Dealers and experts are standing by to answer all of your boat buying questions.

Dry Land to Rocking Waves.

Many boat shows are held in large show rooms, in a central location where people can come from all around. While others are actually held on the water, allowing prospective buyers to test drive the boat before they buy it.  Often times, the boats will fill several marinas and the other vendors fill in on the shoreline. However, for those of you not on the water, a showroom will work just great!

Magazines to Electronics.

In addition to boats, these shows feature tons of boat-related products.  You can find everything including magazines, artwork, electronics, fishing gear and more!  Maybe you already have a boat, but do you have a tube to pull your friends on or the right size life jackets for each of the kids?  They may have grown since last year.  You will find specialty booths with the latest outdoor gear and even resorts and lodging booths to plan your next vacation to the Lake.  Boat Shows feature all types of products for the boat enthusiast in you!

Education to Fun.

Even if you aren't ready to buy a boat, the shows allow you to learn all the things you need to know about purchasing a boat for the future.  Many experts have booths with seminars such as how to take care of your boat.  Also, you can usually find fun activities for the children as well.
