Halloween Party AND Closing Party at Bulldog's!

Ladies and gentlemen, it's finally here... Bulldog's Beach House is getting ready to close for the 2014 season. It's been one heck of an amazing summer and none of us are ready to see it go, but it appears that you truly can't stop time. (Trust us, we've tried!)

We're not going to end this season without one big last hurrah, though! Come by the Lake of the Ozarks' best waterfront restaurant and bar for the best summer blowout the Lake has ever seen. Here's a sneak peek at what we've got going on this weekend.

Join us TODAY, October 31st, for one of the spookiest Halloween Parties at the Lake. Deck yourself out in your funniest, scariest, or sexiest Halloween costume and strut your stuff at your favorite lakefront bar. Take part in Bulldog's costume contest for a chance to win great prizes - and ultimate bragging rights!

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY

Don't stop there! Come back and see us again tomorrow, November 1st, for the BEST customer appreciation day you've ever seen. It's our last day of the season, and we'll be open from 12:00-8:00pm. EVERYTHING MUST GO! Come take advantage of unbelievable food and drink specials that you'll have to see to believe.

We've had an absolute blast partying with you all this year. We can't wait to do it all again next year, but let's enjoy the present for a little while longer before we start daydreaming about the future. We'll see you at Bulldog's Beach House today and tomorrow!

Get Your Drink On At Bulldog's Beach House!!

Are you kidding? Have you SEEN the weather this weekend? There's no WAY Bulldog's Beach House would even consider closing for the season yet - not when there're so many great memories still to be made!

Who's up for another round of the greatest drinks at the Lake? We plan on making the most of this great season for as long as we can, so we're still offering all of Bulldog's famous mixed drinks this weekend! Here's a quick highlight of the delicious cocktails we have to offer.

BULLDOG'S VOODOO JUICE
You're going to love this tantalizing blend of fruit juice and not one, not two, not three, but FIVE Cruzan Flavored Rums!

CRUZAN CONFUSION
Time for things to get a little wild! Treat yourself to this delicious mix of Cruzan Coconut Rum, Cruzan Mango Rum, and pineapple juice.

CRUZAN'S HIGH TIDE

11 Things You Didn't Know About English Bulldogs

It's common knowledge that a man by the name of Bulldog Benedick owns the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, and it's no surprise that all of us at Bulldog's Beach House have a special soft spot in our hearts for adorable four-legged friends - ESPECIALLY bulldogs. We're sure most of our customers are fans of these fantastic dogs, but how much do you really know about our namesake? In this blog, the Lake's best restaurant is here to bring you the best (and most outrageous) fun facts about bulldogs!

The English bulldog breed dates back to before the sixteenth century.

Bulldogs are the most popular mascot for universities and sports teams - and for our restaurant!

Leonardo DiCaprio, Reese Witherspoon, David Beckham, Ashley Olsen, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Martha Stewart have all owned at least one bulldog.

Due to their large heads, bulldogs are almost always delivered via Cesarean section.

English bulldogs are natural skateboarders! If given access to a skateboard as puppies, most English bulldogs will learn how to ride them with incredible ease.

Some bulldogs have become famous for their skateboarding capabilities. Tillman, Tyson, Bazooka, Chief, and Vegas have all become big names in the skateboarding bulldogs circuit.

Bulldogs were originally bread to be fierce and aggressive so they could help with bull baiting in England. Now, they are bred to be friendly and loyal companions.

English bulldogs are descended from mastiffs.

President Warren Harding owned a bulldog.

The first bulldog club was established in 1874, and the first bulldog to be registered was named Adam.

Contrary to popular belief, Winston Churchill did not own a bulldog.

Fall Harbor Hop is BACK!

The Lake of the Ozarks' best biannual event is finally here again! This Saturday, Bulldog's Beach House is thrilled to participate in the 29th Annual Fall Harbor Hop. If you're looking for something fun to do, join us on Saturday, October 11th for a great day on the water.

Here's How It Works
Harbor Hop is essentially a lake-wide poker game! Visit any of the participating checkpoints (like the best waterfront restaurant at the Lake: Bulldog's!) to register and pick up your first card.

Draw six additional cards by visiting other participating locations around the Lake of the Ozarks. Once you pick up your seventh card, you can submit your hand at that checkpoint. (If you want, you can draw a bonus eighth card for $5!)

All poker hands must be submitted by 7:00 PM. Winners will be notified via mail.

Here's What You Can WIN!
When players register and pick up their first cards, they can pay an optional $20. All the money collected at the beginning will go towards the pot! The prizes will be allocated as follows:

1st Place ~ 10%
2nd Place ~ 9%
3rd Place ~ 8%
4th Place ~ 7%
5th-10th Place ~ 5% each
4 Worst Hands ~ 2% each

If you draw all your cards from checkpoints in the same section, you can also be eligible to be a section winner! Check out www.funlake.com/harborhop for the full list of participating locations and their sections.
